Genesis II Community Contract & Guidelines
If you are reading this, you have had to leave your home and come into our community for safety and like-minded goals for the future of humanity. Many of you know, we have been preparing and investing in supplies that will be needed if supply chains break down, and we are forced into going back “to the old ways” to survive. We ask that you bring everything you can to add to our supplies when you come.
We have tried to prepare for all aspects of life going forward, but as you know, we will have to live one day at a time with community cooperation and generosity.
- We have short term food, and some long term “survival food” as well.
- Medical supplies for injuries, ointments, bandages, and some OTC medicines
- Minimal supply of various antibiotics which WE will dispense as needed.
- SOME personal hygiene items like toothbrushes, deodorant and razors, but they will have to be treasured like gold. When they are gone, their gone.
- Herbal supplements & treatments and teas, honey, coffee, etc.
- Heirloom seeds (enough for 1 acre) for fruits, veg & herbs.
- Lots of books on survival and finding natural herbs, etc.
- Some educational books for teaching/ learning
- 105 ft well, with clean water with a hand pump, a lake and a spring-fed pond on the property.
I have been promising God for years, that I would share these things with people who come, and we will happily do so, but there will be RULES for all of us to live by to remain part of the new community.
- A willingness to share/ conserve what you have when asked.
- People will be voted on to manage, dispense and inventory supplies
- A commitment to raise the children with old fashioned values (it takes a village…)
- Teaching the Children: (keep in mind that it is possible that very young children will be raptured before the age of “accountability.” Be at peace knowing that they are with God.
- Children will be taught the value of hard work and mutual love & respect for others. (No Participation trophies here) Children under 8 will be engaged and watching, but will not have official chores until they are 8 years old.
- Children will only be taught about sexuality and the birds and the bees AFTER they ask. It is a sound practice that until the child asks, they are not ready mentally or spiritually for the answers, and it can only add confusion.
- Children will be introduced to the importance of having a individual relationship with God & Jesus.
- I realize that some religious rituals bring great comfort to people, the children will be taught that it is NOT about the ritual, but about the MEANING and purpose of the ritual.
- A willingness to participate in ANY/ALL work-related activities required to keep the community functioning: (people will be selected based on skills & physical abilities, but ALL must help in some way! — There are NO free rides for anyone over 8 yrs old)
- gardening
- tree/wood cutting/ splitting
- fishing/ hunting
- food preparation
- animal care if we have chickens, etc.
- laundry/ housekeeping duties
- Teaching of the children mentally & spiritually
- Building/ repairing if necessary
- Latrine duty
- Burial duties
- An agreement that we will not force any religious doctrine on anyone, BUT we WILL be saying generic community prayers to God to bless us in this new life we are trying to build.
- We will build this community with a spiritual grounding. We will try to have a voluntary “spiritual” meeting once a week for those who wish to attend. It will not be based on any one religion, but on building a relationship with God.
- We will not be involved in taking political sides, religious sides or any sexual preferences. As long as you fit into the community…those things are personal, between you & God.
- We will not allow forcing personal opinions on others.
- There will be no back-biting and gossiping allowed. If there is a problem, let us address it immediately as a group.
- Anyone caught stealing will suffer a “community agreed upon” punishment. If it happens more than once, you will be asked to leave.
- If members bring supplies into the community, they will be added to the whole and will be shared with everyone, just as everyone else’s supplies will be.
- NOTHING will be wasted. We will try to use everything we can for something with the understanding that all we have is a blessing and must be treated as such.
- If you leave the community, your supplies will be considered payment for other’s supplies you used while here, and you will be sent away with two days of food and water if possible.
- Liquor will be in short supply and will be used only occasionally for celebrations, etc.
- Any alcohol/substance abuse will not be tolerated.
- Anyone committing physical violence on another member will be immediately asked to leave. Kevin says, that if you want to fight someone…Fight Him (I wouldn’t suggest it)
- Only members who have completed firearm safety training will be allowed to carry one at all times.
- Members may bring their animals (we understand that they are like family) but there will be guidelines that must be respected:
- You are responsible to provide food for your animals
- They must not be intrusive to other members
- Owner would pay a penalty if your animals kill other animals in the community (cats, dogs, chickens, etc.)
- Aggressive animals will not be allowed to stay
- The understanding that not all people love animals and being considerate of that.
- With regards to health issues, everyone must understand the following:
- If you have current health issues that require prescription medications, we do NOT have them. We will have to try to deal with these things through herbal treatment or diet. There will be no other options, if supply chains have disappeared. If you brought this health issue with you, there will be no resentment that the community can’t cure you. It is out of our control. It is not our fault. We suggest you try to look up herbal remedies in advance before “the lights go out.”
- Any individual who is seriously injured will be treated with the best care we have available, but with no hospital or medicines, it is understood that they are in God’s hands.
- Anyone who volunteers to try to assist in saving the individual, will NOT be held accountable or tormented if that patient dies due to not having the equipment or treatment needed. We do have some medical books, including an Army Medic field manual, but there are no guarantees.
- Anyone who is pregnant or chooses to get pregnant knowing the situation, must accept the fact that if anything goes awry, the people assisting are not to blame.
- We do NOT have supplies of disposable diapers, or tampons or pads. First they are bad for the environment. Secondly, they are costly to stock. As such, women will have to use cloths, like the old days and will be responsible for washing them and keeping them clean and out of public view.
Perhaps we have all slid down the slippery slope and currently are not the “perfect example for humanity” going forward. That’s OK…we are all human. But we CAN make an effort to clean up our “acts” going forward. BE the change you wish to see in the World. If we all strive to be the best of humanity…perhaps we can bring out the best in humanity again! May God (bwn) bless us in this task.
WE ARE NOT aiming to “make everyone happy”…we may not be “politically correct at all times, we are living with old fashioned values of ethics, morals and the golden rule. If you don’t feel that you can go back in time to the “old ways”, then perhaps this is not the place for you.
We will all accept that this journey will be challenging and at times very difficult, but we will strive like our ancestors did when they came to America with nothing and moved out west in covered wagons, surviving only through mutual respect and cooperation.
We must also understand that there will be interactions with pure evil, and Evil will show “no mercy”…so we will have to fight in every sense of the word to protect our families. We may be forced to do things that we have never thought we would do, but if we do these things with righteousness to save humanity, hopefully God will know our hearts and support us in this great cause!
I have read this document fully and I agree to abide by everything included with in.
